Kefta can be served with pasta, rice or in a sandwich with pickles and your favorite sauce like Tahini or Baba ganoush (grilled eggplant spread) or even mayonnaise .
In today's dish I served it with rice and curry . so here is how I prepared my dish.
Ingredients For the kefta:
1) 500 grams ground beef .
2) I finely chopped onion.
3) Handful of finely chopped parsley and cilantro.
4) Spices ( 1 tablespoon salt, 1 teaspoon onion powder, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon paprika, 1/2 teaspoon cumin and some pepper)
Directions For the Kefta:
1)Preheat the grill
2)Add all the ingredients well and mix them until all the ingredients are well blended
3) Shape all the beef to form a long shape as in the picture.
Tip: I try to leave in the grill 10 minutes on each side , don't leave it too much to avoid drying of the meat.
1) 2 cups of washed rice.
2) 3 chopped carrots .
3) Spices: I teaspoon onion powder, 1 tablespoon curry powder, salt and pepper as requied.
4) 2 tablespoons olive oil
Then cook the rice and serve with the kefta..... ENJOY!
