It has been a really exhausting experience for me to start my toddler on potty training, even though she was pretty much 90 percent ready for it ( she is 2 yrs and 4 months old), But I think its a process that requires a lots of diligence, patience and not stressing out.

When I first planned to potty train my daughter I really thought it was just a matter of week or two and we will be done! But unfortunately my expectations were wrong (at least for our situation) .

I have been experimenting with her many different ways to get her on the right track and here are my 5 easy tips to make potty training an easy and fun experience for both me and my toddler:

1) Interact with your toddler :

Toddlers at this age understand pretty much everything you say. I started by just telling my toddler that should should not be wearing the diaper anymore and must go to the bathroom instead just like mummy and daddy.
That was the main point I relied on because she likes to feel like a grown up.

2) Put him on the potty every 1 to 2 hours :

I have downloaded this great application on my phone to remind us both to go every 1 to 2 hours .It is a very important to be consistent so that she never forgets to go .
Now, she started to ask alone for going to the potty (even without having me to ask her.)

3) Don't insult your child If he got wet:

Sometimes things do not go the way we want, when my daughter forgets to say I try to keep calm and not blame her too much that she forgot to tell . Trying to punish, blame or insult your child too much or can make him hate and give up the whole process and no more wanting to potty train.

4) Give reward:

I have tried this great idea with my daughter and it was awesome! I got her the kinder surprise eggs with a Disney princess toy inside ( She adores all Disney princesses) every time she tell me she wants to go to the potty , I give her the egg, This encourages her to always tell me when she gets the urge. I also sometimes put her nail polish when she is on the potty to find it funny.
